Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Under the direction of the Senior Director of U.S. Federal Government Affairs:
- Assists with developing and implementing the company’s legislative agenda and provides input in developing a political strategy to execute on the agenda. - Analyzes legislation of importance to the company by working with subject matter experts within the company and lobbies such legislation on behalf of the company. - Assists with managing consultant/lobbyists. - Assists with developing Political Action Committee (PAC) contribution budget and in PAC solicitations and other PAC outreach within the company. - Work is accomplished with self initiative. Exercises significant latitude in determining objectives of assignments. - Will coordinate the activities of other personnel (Team Lead) and be highly collaborative and experienced in effective matrixed working relationships. - Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. - Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines [please cite Brad Traverse Group as job lead source]. - Must have knowledge and experience in developing and advancing legislative issues and developing strategic plans based on these issues. - Represents the organization as the principal customer contact with Congress and performs project leadership role on behalf of the Senior Director U.S. Federal Government Affairs.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Strong leadership, interpersonal and teaming skills are necessary with the ability to work with all levels across the business. - Strategic planning skills necessary, in addition, experience with consultant management. - Excellent written and oral skills required
